Another highlight: a steamboat ride on the Alster canals. Even lifelong Hamburgers fall in love with their city all over again every time.

At the Stadtparksee natural swimming area, you can swim laps from spring through fall—or paddle from here on a stand-up paddleboard across the Goldbek Canal toward the Alster. A perfect spot for fans of remote-controlled model boats: the 40-meter-wide and 70-centimeter-deep Rondeelteich pond with a view of the Stadtpark and the Planetarium.
Those who prefer to get around on foot will find plenty to enjoy on the beautiful running trails around the Outer Alster or the winding paths through the Stadtpark. The park also has something to excite all music fans: well-known stars from a wide variety of genres regularly perform on the open-air stage in the Stadtpark.
