With its “100 Percent Climate Protection Master Plan,” the city of Potsdam has committed to reducing CO2 emissions by 95 percent within 30 years. New concepts for district heating form one of the four pillars of this master plan, from which the ParkVillen also benefit. The city is already relying on “power-to-heat” systems, which generate heat from renewable energy sources. A key component of this innovation strategy is one of the largest solar thermal systems in Germany.
